About Author
Gennady Yakovlevich Balinov was a Soviet writer and author of books for children born in 1932 in the village of Staro-Azhinka, Altai Territory. After graduating from the Novokuznetsk Pedagogical Institute he worked at the school as a correspondent for the newspapers Kuznetsk Worker and Komsomolets Kuzbass. In 1950 the first Kuznetsk Worker newspaper published his first short story called Pioneer. In 1968, the first book for children called The Blue Arrow Patrol was published at the Kemerovo Book Publishing House. Then Balinov lived in Kemerovo and worked at the editorial office of the newspaper Kuzbass. He was a co author of the project and the first executive secretary of the Rodnik newspaper. Later he worked at the Siberian Spring which was the first independent non political Siberian newspaper. The last story of . Balinov is called Coverage and is dedicated to his favorite characters who are children. The action of this story takes place in the Kuzbass on the construction of Zapsib. Secrets and disappearances and mutual assistance, Gennady Yakovlevich Balinov passed away in 1990.
