The short stories are about ordinary people trying to cope with events which have thrown their lives out of sync. The protagonists rise above their circumstances by not giving up. Each story explores attitudes, relationships and circumstances that are quintessentially urban.

About Author

Aquila Ismail is engaged in several literary pursuits which include translation to English several contemporary writers from Urdu. She has worked as an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at NED University, Karachi. Currently she is working on documenting the life and work of her sister Perween Rahman the slain Director of the Orangi Pilot Project (OPP)
